The trouble with trimming is that save in obvious cases, it's a
judgement call. Again, please feel free to email me personally when you
feel someone hasn't trimmmed enough.

Argh--got me there. Are we counting the separator? Not counting the
separator, this one is within 7 lines--however, I'm not counting the
space in there for readability. :)

Curt, it's a valid point, but actually, long sigs have always struck me
as the least problematic--the reason being that it's at the end and by
that time, you can choose to read it or not, once your eye hits the
name. It's a few more lines to delete, but with emacs or vi, that's
hardly an issue. (I'm guessing about emacs--I figure it can probably do
it easily if vi can do it easily.)

So, if I understand you correctly, in an effort to sum this up, more or
less....

You feel that trimming (and lack of it) is more of an issue than top
posting.
You would like me (and/or other mods) to pay as much attention to
trimming as we do to top posting.

You are not a Buffy fan. :) Or, you feel that as the show ended years
ago, it's time to stop the quotes.

Is that accurate? (I'm less concerned about Buffy than the other two.)

The idea here, as I've often stated, is to make the list pleasant for
all members--as we feel the list is a meritocracy, you are certainly one
of the more valued members, whom we would like to please if that is
possible. If I have correctly understood the gist of your emails, I
believe it is possible.

So, all Buffy jokes aside, have I summed up your major complaints
accurately?

Thanks.

Buffy: What should we do with the trio over here? Should we burn
them?
Willow: I brought marshmallows.
