Printing in Linux is often non-trivial and printing Japanese seems to be
more so.  :)

I have a page on C(an't)U(sually)P(rint)S(tuff) too, that might or might
not be of some help.

Good luck.  Printing can be frustrating, even in MS, more often with
Macs and even more with *nix.
