If you are getting started with Linux, I would not suggest going with
an EPIA.  At least, do a lot of research about it before making the
decision.  I own one and though it works and is good, getting all the
custom hardware to work is a trial in dedication and patience. I
stopped bothering with getting the mpeg and 3D accelerators to work.
Plus I have been unsuccessful in recording audio with the audio/mic in
ports. Although, it does act as a nice little home server that can
output sound and do video fast enough for my needs.  Of course, if you
were not a patient person you wouldn't be installing Linux in the
first place no ;-)
