TLUG,

I attempted to completely uninstall all settings for Sane and re-install 
them again, but have made no more progress with my scanner.

My work is now actually being affected by this, as I need my scanner to 
complete my projects. Anyone have any suggestions? Anything at all? I'm 
kind of feeling the pinch of desperation now.

I also posted on the Sane mailing list, but in the last 3 days no one 
has responded.
