It depends on what you count as spam.  If you count (as Godwin does)
all the unauthorized attempts to connect to your system as spam, sure,
you're going to see sky-high figures.  Some of those are port scans,
not mail at all.  How do you count bounces from spoofed mail?
Viruses?

But there's no question about the fact that unwanted traffic on port
25 is a huge burden, and that it's definitely over 75% of the running
cost of receiving mail.
