Could you show us the output of these commands?

1) this one to show us your kernel

$ uname -a

2) this one to show us your modules related to ip_tables

$ modprobe -l | grep ip_

3) this one if you want to show us how you configured the iptables part
of your kernel

$ grep -i ip_ /path/to/your/.config/file
