And how about us poor upstream maintainers?  I bet I'm not the only
one who is dead sick and tired of "I downloaded the $yr_app_here RPM
from ftp.redhat.com and rpm says `missing dependencies'.  Help me!"

Like, call Red Hat's help line, 1-800-FSC-KOFF, OK?

Oh, c'mon, that has nothing to do with GUI, and everything to do with
package management.  Try find /etc -name '[0-9][0-9]*' on a late-model
Debian system.  Yikes!
