I would rather recommend Vultr over Linode.
Linode is well known for pre-emptively shutting down your VPS upon
receiving DMCA notice, without warning or even verifying whether the
notice is legit or not.
And some other rather shady practises, which made me unable to recommend
them at all.

Every good email client is able to send encrypted emails.
If yours can't, then you should consider switching to a secure email client, because yours just sucks.

My recommendations are Claws Mail or NeoMutt.
