Does your PS/2 keyboard work after booting into Debian?

Perhaps your motherboard PS/2 ports are fried, your PC thinks that a
PS/2 keyboard is connected and your BIOS defaults to no USB keyboard
support when PS/2 is connected?


Anyway, default BIOS settings should not prevent you from getting
video.  What if you boot with no HDD attached? Do you get the "No
bootable disk found" or somesuch message on screen?
