But it doesn't do only what a book does.

If it held only Jim Gray's _Transaction Processing_ and C.J. Date's
_Introduction to Database Systems_, it would almost be worthwhile for
me. Not there aren't a few dozen other large tomes that I'd like to have
with me a lot more often than I do.

As for the $400 price tag, those two plus _The Third Manifesto_ and a
couple of other books I'm jonesing after would exceed that, anyway.
