The man knows of what he speaks. All Linux ninja know how to use vi, at least at a basic level, because it is one of the few programs that you are guaranteed to find in /bin on every Unix system. Shit, sometimes sed is stuck in /usr/bin, meaning that you cannot get at it in a situation where you can only mount / read-only and /usr is b0rken. -- Cheers, Josh
