I don't know for sure (the red card for "simulation" was introduced after I got to Japan, and the only soccer I've seen elsewhere was reported in Spanish and there were no red cards distributed), but I wouldn't be surprised if the official rules say "simulating a foul will be punished by ejection from the pitch," and the Japanese just borrowed the English word to use as a technical term. > But I love the sports analogies you keep spitting. Who'd'a thunk it? ;) I think all males are "great warrior" wannabes and "sports superstar" wannabes to some extent (except for those who actually *are* warriors or superstars :). It shows in the analogies we choose. By the way, the Hans Reiser story was really sad, but the overlay ads on Wired are just *way* offensive. I just closed them and plan to postpone my purchases of the goods advertised into the next century (and my next visit to Wired to be its funeral) but what's the technology? How can you prevent them from appearing?
