Re: [tlug] [OT] Say _no_ to the Microsoft Office format as an ISO standard

informative; it's obviously not. But to say that "people buy Windows

Good debating points, but you're ignoring the fact that there's something immoral about supporting an illegal and rotten-to-the-core corporation like Microsoft. If people don't have the backbone or intelligence to realize that by going along with evil for short-term gain, they are damaging themselves and the whole system, and there isn't much you can do to make them think.

A lot of rotten and evil things have gotten stronger in the past ten
years or so. Fanatical religion (of many varieties, most notably "C"
& "I"), Microsoft, etc. You seem to be saying that Linux needs to
become dirty and disgusting like Microsoft and beat them in a dirty
game. The one thing Microsoft does very well is play dirty (illegal
is probably a more accurate term).

"... buy some persuasive ads..." you say! Advertising doesn't work
unless you have truly obscene amounts of money to throw at it!
Articles! Instead of supporting Microsoft and blasting the members of
this group, why not see what you can get into the Media on behalf of
Linux. Or do you even use Linux? You're a Mac user, right? I hope
you use Linux, but I remember what a bunch of slander you threw in
here about OpenOffice, and you don't even use it!! Users of
OpenOffice came up with real data that proved your accusations to be
nonsense. Whose side are you on anyway?
