Apart from the obvious environmental problem, depending on where you are
they may also stop collecting all you garbage (or all the garbage for
your building if you are in an apartment) if they decide you are
throwing away commercial garbage or things that require proper
disposal.  This happened at my university dormitory and to some
neighbors down the road.
