Oh well! What can I say? I just had another look at the Konsole, and now it says: arecord RIFF$WAVEfmt @example.com WAVE 'stdout' : Unsigned 8 bit, Rate 8000 Hz, Mono overrun!!! (at least 0.059 ms long) That "Overrun!!!" wasn't there before I don't think.... Lyle
