I just had some fan issues here and replaced a powersupply fan with one of
several that I purchased surplus for this reason. Anyway, the connector
was the same, but the "new" fan didn't do anything. On a lark, I tried
forcing the connector on the other way and it worked. I then used a needle
and reversed the pins in the connector (a little work). It now works fine.
So I think the fan not working may be a +/- issue. I kinda figgured fans
would always just turn the other way if you reversed polarity, but
apparatnlty my fan was designed not to do that. Perhaps yours is the same?
