I recall having the same difficultly when I first tried to use libusb. In fact, I didn't even think that my suggestion would help because libusb is able to give good error messages to the user (the application using the library) so sane should have suggested there was a permissions problem. Regardless, the problem is now solved, so everybody should be happy :) Cheers, Ben
