Okay, that calls for serious support. I assume Windows XP. Start Button/Settings/Network Connections: click Local Area Connection (Yahoo?). Select "Support" tab. If "Address Type" says "Assigned by DHCP", then this is all you need to know if you run Mandrake 8.2 or higher.

If it does not say "Assigned by DHCP", then click on the "Details" button and copy/print/write down all these details.

In Mandrake, sorry I don't have it right in front of me - sitting in a hotel room with my Vaio Win XP Pro laptop - go on the sart menu to configuration, select network and enter the a.m. details where appropriate.

In Windows 2000 or 98 you'll find the network details in Start/Settings/Control Panel/Network. Select the TCP/IP settings and see what they say.

I don't know if Yahoo BB requires username/p-word or not.

Best,
Thomas
