Jonathan: >I wish that: > >X-Mailer: QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Light Version 3.0.6 (32) > >Put proper line breaks in. The sooner we get you up and running on Linux, the >better :-) I'm really sorry. It's just that I just installed Red Hat 6.0, and still can't set the ppp up, I'm not used to Red Hat, and less used do Linuxconf. I think I'll just install back Slack 3.5. I just changed to Red Hat to test 2.2, since I can't find Slack 4.0 over here, and I don't have a credit card. I'll try to set it up soon, meanwhile, sorry if it bothers your client ... aghhh, and we are still having tests at school ... Well, back to the NEC thing, I found that I has Windows 3.1 installed, and it said copyright NEC and Microsoft. I didn't knew the PC98-series, and now I think I know why Linux refused to run in another machine in school, a Cereb or something, using a TV as a display. (BIG, by the way.) Thanks again. Also, thanks to Austin and mister Fujimoto, for the hints. >It is an Intel machine, it's just not a fully PC-compatible Intel machine, due >to hardware differences in NEC's version. You do know how to screw up kids illusions .... don't you? 8-) Well, at least, this novel is finished. Then comes the new one : >And I hope you and Dennis can both make it up here for a meeting one of >these days :-) Sure ! It's just a matter of Dennis to ask for a break, and to come and pick me up, since I'm not allowed to travel outside of the island without the company of someone over 21. Can you believe that ? Going to get the Slack CD. Sorry for bothering with the NEC thing, and thanks again to everyone.
