I don't know much about PC-Semi thing.  But assuming your machine is one
of those old and notorious NEC PC-98 series with 368 or better, I can
only give you a few suggestions.

You may want to try installing Plamo Linux if you can get one.  That's
another Japanese distribution and can be installed onto old PC-98
machines.

Or you can simply forget installing Linux and try installing FreeBSD
instead.  The special version of FreeBSD (specifically localized for
PC-98 machines) has been around for many years.  As a matter of fact,
that's one of the reasons of why FreeBSD is still quite popular among
PC-UNIX users in Japan.  There were a lot of surplus PC-98s around and
FreeBSD hackers didn't want to waste them.
