Jordi, I don't know much about PC-Semi thing. But assuming your machine is one of those old and notorious NEC PC-98 series with 368 or better, I can only give you a few suggestions. You may want to try installing Plamo Linux if you can get one. That's another Japanese distribution and can be installed onto old PC-98 machines. Or you can simply forget installing Linux and try installing FreeBSD instead. The special version of FreeBSD (specifically localized for PC-98 machines) has been around for many years. As a matter of fact, that's one of the reasons of why FreeBSD is still quite popular among PC-UNIX users in Japan. There were a lot of surplus PC-98s around and FreeBSD hackers didn't want to waste them. regards, -------------------------- Shinichi FUJIMOTO Tokyo, Japan blimp@example.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Technical Meeting: July 10 (Sat), 13:00 place: Temple Univ. *** Topic: High Performance JAVA, by Matt Welsh Next Nomikai: August 20 (Fri), 19:30 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 ------------------------------------------------------------------- more info: http://www.tlug.gr.jp Sponsor: Global Online Japan
