There's no good reason to buy hardware, or especially software, in Japan. With maybe one or two minor exceptions, it's cheaper everywhere else that I've seen. And you don't want a Japanese keyboard unless you're going to be *really* into Japanese input, and even then, most people prefer non-Japanese keyboards (except for Jonathan :) ). > 2.)When I'm reading Japanese webpages with Enlish Netscape > 4.06 (for Linux of course), the message boxes on the page > (on the page itself Japanese charakters are displayed!) and > my bookmarks display ASCII. You can use the 'muriyari' hack, though, which sort of approximates 'working' :) > Thank you for your reply! > Wolf. > -- > > Omnia mihi licet, sed non omnia expediunt (I ad Cor. 10,22) > > --------------------------------------------------------------- > Next Meeting: 10 October, 12:30 Tokyo Station Yaesu central gate > Next Nomikai: 20 November, 19:30 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 > --------------------------------------------------------------- > Sponsor: PHT, makers of TurboLinux http://www.pht.co.jp > -------------------------------------------------- Scott M.
