tlug: huh? what happened?

--------------------------------------------------------
tlug note from Jim Schweizer <schweiz@example.com>
--------------------------------------------------------
Hi all,

For some reason, the mail programs on my standalone dialup only
Slackware box suddenly were not able to write to the /tmp
directory. Ispell didn't work, XFmail and Netscape were unable
to send the body of a mail message but could send the signature
file and header - really wierd. Even after a reboot, the problem
didn't go away.

I chmod 0777 /tmp to get it working again (I'll mess around with
more restrictive permissions tomorrow) but what the heck was
that? Anyone seen anything like this before?

Thanks,

Jim S.

Why did the Lord give us so much quickness of movement unless it
was to avoid responsibility with?
