I got trans.el off a link from Jeff's page at Omron.  I byte
compiled it with no problem.  The trans perl stuff ran fine
the first time.  I'm using Redhat 4.0 Colgate with mule 19.28
which I think I got from the newest JE distribution in binary
form.  I've been using it with no problems.  I did have to
alter a line that said "genkigenkigenki" for some reason. 
I assume it was to instill cheer into our lives.  ;-)

Oh, I forgot you were the author of EDICT.  :-)  BTW, that
is an awesome tool there.  :-)   :-)   :-)
