Works great doesn't it. Now, at a little faster than a snails pace, I can read Japanese. It also works off of Netscape, though not always. It seems that I can't cut and paste from a form in netscape, though regular text seems fine. C> $^$?!"?7$7$$@$3&$KF~$k$_$?$$!# C> I can't get xjdic to run within emacs shell. It looks like xjdic is sending out control characters to the "kterm", which emacs does not know how to interpret. Note that the following is for mule19.33gamma, though it may work with other mules. ;;; ;;; set sh-mode to use EUC ;;; (add-hook 'shell-mode-hook '(lambda () (set-current-process-coding-system 'coding-system-euc-japan 'coding-system-euc-japan))) Andy ----------------------------------------------------------------- a word from the sponsor will appear below ----------------------------------------------------------------- The TLUG mailing list is proudly sponsored by TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System.
