I just found out that I can save kanji into the X buffer and paste it into xjdic with the middle mouse button. This is pretty convenient for reading Japanese documentation and those occasion nihongo denshi me-ru. Oh man, I wonder if I can get it to read Japanese place names and surnames. Those are big problems for me. With the cut and paste I can just suck in the person's name for the document or e-mail and find out the yomigana........ at least in theory. また、新しい世界瘢雹に入るみたい。 I can't get xjdic to run within emacs shell. This would be even more convenient since I wouldn't have to use the mouse. ------------- Craig Oda craig@example.com TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System, TWICS - IEC Building, 1-21 Yotsuya, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 160 JAPAN Main Reception: 03-3351-5977 Fax: +81-3-3353-6096 Customer Service: 3351-5481 Corporate Sales/Support: 3351-8452 ----------------------------------------------------------------- a word from the sponsor will appear below ----------------------------------------------------------------- The TLUG mailing list is proudly sponsored by TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System.
