As none of the smaller pubs are willing to take reservations, I made a reservation for one table at

Neither picked up the telephone, probably too busy, so I went to Nakameguro in person. They have happy hour from 5pm to 7 pm on Fridays and the place will then be packed, it is a very small pub. So even if we show up at 7 pm they can't guarantee a table.

It started raining and I didn't feel like going all the way to Kanda, but on the way back I passed by a Schmatz very close to Nakameguro station which is fairly large and has a second floor, but they were already closed so I couldn't ask. I will call up Tap x Tap and Schmatz tomorrow and report back.
