There is an interesting array of quirks for getting into the bios listed by manufacturer at Lifewire dot com. Sometimes it is not just the key to be pressed, but also how it is pressed (once, repeatedly, held, or in sequence with another key). And even by manufacturer, the key to be pressed may differ depending on model or age and whether on laptop or desktop. I will add the link here, but am not sure if links will be stripped.
