I am now at a new level of exasperation with trying to run fotokilof with the following result: 

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'tkinter'

Looks like with Linux Mint I needed python-tk and not python-tkinter. Installed and working. Now using the fotokilof gui for imagemagick.
