Does anybody feel sorry for lawyers? ;-) What they do say is that unpaid or nominal pay internships mean that poor students can't take them. I think that's a much bigger problem because I'm seeing a lot of smart people looking for work and getting lost in the flood of resumes. The connection is that internships help you to generate personal connections that will eventually get you jobs. The bias that unpaid internships create is a problem, I think.
