This is what I am worried about, but Mattia above is saying you can
still have text logs if you like, so it must be an option somewhere.

I've decided to stick with Wheezy while I learn more about systemd.
Inability to read logs on a non-booting system would be a deal-breaker
for me. Anyway wheezy is still supported for now.
