I completely agree! It's frustrating to own hardware and being asked to fork up tens of thousands of dollars just to get some essential (critical, as they labelled it) upgrades for it.

I was *extremely* happy with HP (I have another few servers of the ProLiant line): even after almost 10 years, after HeartBleed came out, they released a new BIOS and LOM (for HTTPs) fixing the issue, available for free to download, but definitely this is the last time I get my hands on a Sun/Oracle piece of kit!
