Not yet, no. That was just a quick 15-minute test right after it arrived 
and before I left for work. It has yet to be booted from the hard 
drive.  The next order of business will be to boot Windows, create 
recovery media, then DD it off to a USB disk to later be slurped into 
VirtualBox, and repartition for upgrade to Linux.

It may be a bit (figure on a week minimum) before I have a battery life 
report, but it is coming. I'll be quite surprised if the battery life 
comes even close to what it delivers on Windows. OTOH, I don't plan to 
use Windows long enough to get a baseline on that :-) If I can get a few 
hours out of the battery I'll be happy enough. This machine will 
primarily be used at home and probably won't be off-leash for extended 
periods much anyway.
