Hi, i look for software that fullfills those requirements: - provide a knowledge-database via webinterface to users - provide a search-function that indexes - the knowledge-database contents - and office-documents, pdf, textfiles in a directory - be able to do all this with kanji I have good experiences with docuwiki. This can work for the know- ledgebase-part. Stores files as utf8, so can look up kanji in the wiki-contents fine, but the search does not span pdf etc. namazu.org looks nice for a fulltext-searchengine. Works great for indexing and looking up english strings. For kanji i could only make it look up kanji-strings in indexed documents on the command- line. namazu comes with a cgi-file, that one doesnt look up kanji-strings here, only english. Will look into debugging this, or into other searchengines. Maybe some of you have similiar requirements and good ideas for other software to use. Christian
