I downloaded and installed. They have a pretty tight, clean installation that is easy to understand. Pretty isn't mandatory but it never hurts. It also can run as a standalone Japanese OS inside the box, which makes it a good choice for this need.
The problems didn't occur until I actually tried to run the virtual window and got a report that the driver is not accessible. According to the VirtualBox FAQ that is something that is not unusual. It says permissions for vmbox have to be set in the "groups" list. Will do that today ... as soon as I find the help file that tells me whether I have to add a -g or -G to every item already in that list or just to the new addition.
But, if this could run on another desktop, it would be a most excellent solution. Thanks.
