Ah ha! Well, gotta live with it, or else live without adapters for pointers to member functions in C++.

Significant amounts come from PostgreSQL.

Weird:

    $ du -sh /usr/pkg/include/postgres*
    4.0K    /usr/pkg/include/postgres_ext.h
    2.3M    /usr/pkg/include/postgresql

Finally, it's an ext2 filesystem, and probably has 16K blocks ... ie,
it's actually all waste space, most likely. ;-)

Ah, I'm using FFS with 16K blocks. I wouldn't be surprised if most of that difference comes from ext2fs not having fragments; you're losing an average of 8KB/file rather than 1KB/file.
