FYI, PS2 Linux is based on Kondara 2[1] which is now Momonga[2]. Kondara 
was based on some version of Redhat
and as you can see in the wiki page[1], the main "seika" of it was a 
installer ( momonga )[1] and a software management system ( mph-get ) [1]

I loved Kondara 2 because it was very well tested, less buggy and more 
Japanese-ready than other Linux distribution at that time being,
just to compare with Vine, Mandrake and Redhat.
