Am I the only one going through Skype Withdrawal.

Is something wrong with Skype? It seems to be working fine from here.

I'd be interested to hear what you are finding with your Skype usage since Friday afternoon. I am able to log in now automatically in WIN, but Kubuntu takes over five minutes to log in and make a stable connection. WIN began to work about 0800 this morning (Saturday).

The "Who's Online" changes sort of dribble in over the next 30 minutes, or so. Some (most) of my US and Western European contacts are shown as on line despite the fact that attempts to ring them result in a message that they're not. Our Skype phone at our house in Kashima can't see our Skype phone at our office in Tokyo -- and vice versa -- but both are on line, locally.

Skype's "heartbeat" page hasn't been updated for over 12 hours, either. It's as though they saw a few icons turn green and decided to piss off for the weekend. I see that some blogger on ZD is already wheezing on about "loss of trust" and predicting that net services were set back significantly by this blackout.
