No. Those in the audience who know me might be snickering at the thought that I'd ever do something just to make someone happy. ;)

I take it that you are doing this because you, like me, want to see more good content on the tlug site. The issue really comes down to where we set the bar for acceptance. If we set it too low people will be discouraged from submitting good content because they will feel our site diminishes their work, if we set it too high no one will submit.


I am not really all that keen on the idea of a Editor in Chief because I don't think we will find any one person who has both the required skills and an objective stance on all content. I think we need to avoid content being seen as reflecting the views of the Editor in Chief.

I would prefer if we had an editorial group of which two editors must be prepared to vouche for the quality of the article for it to be accepted. This would both cut down the workload and give us a more balanced appraisal of submitted articles.
