That's pretty well guaranteed to be rejected by many mail servers, quite likely when you connect.

That's an interesting opinion, but unfortunately doesn't jibe with the fact that I've sent many hundreds of messages though those servers over the last few months, and never once had a bounce due to the DNS or IP address.
