Just curious: If you reside on a US base in Japan, aren't you subject
to US regulations and laws for copyright/DMCA... etc?

Considering how difficult it is to fine a region-free player in Japan
compared e.g. France, it is likely that one might have some issues
with legality of bypassing region coding and CSS.
