*Responsibilities*

Be part of a local and global team responsible for support and
management of a large-scale distributed Unix plan.  Day-to-day duties
will include, but are not limited to:

* Monitoring and maintenance of the existing plant
* Assist and guide users on best practices of use of the environment
* Coordinate with the users, service providers, and vendors on hygiene
initiatives (rollouts/upgrades/decommissions)
* Capacity planning, procurement and deployment of servers and storage
* Planning and execution of local and global projects

*Desirable Skills/Qualifications*

* University degree
* 3+ years of UNIX SA skills and in-depth knowledge of Solaris and Linux
* Significant Perl and Korn shell programming experience* Supporting
an environment of Sun Enterprise and/or Intel Server-Class machines
* Shift rotation support experience
* Working knowledge in SAN/NAS technologies
* Working knowledge in High Availability technologies
* Quick learner, curious, proactive and inquisitive personality.
* Ability to perform with a high level of independence; no constant  
supervision
