I said to run: arecord -f cd from-md.wav (Obviously, you may change the name of the WAVE file that will be generated.) Please run the command, then screen scrape both your command line and the results, e.g. : jglover@example.com; arecord -f cd foo.wav bash: arecord: command not found You see, I do not have the arecord command installed on this box, but at least we know that now.
