Darn, that's a new one on me too!

Until now I'd been doing stuff like:

$ for f in $glob; do mv -v "$f" "add_this${f#remove_this}"; done

Maybe this *is* a little more intuitive:

$ rename remove_this add_this $glob

Unix in general, and GNU/Linux in particular, never ceases to amaze me. I
may not be an expert in any particular field of GNU/Linux but I'm no newbie
either, and yet there never passes a day without me learning *something*
new.
