TLUG.
I'm signed up with Tepco Point for my fibre optic internet connection.
Recently they have merged with DreamTrain Internet.
I think they have done something about their routing or firewalls.
Recently, some P2P applications and other non-standard internet apps (by
non-standard I just mean not email or web) have slowed down, and one
complained that I was now behind a firewall, even though I haven't
changed anything recently.
My suspicion is that the change has come in the ISP side. One web site
I looked at said something about ISPs having NAT routers or firewalls.
I know this isn't strictly Linux oriented, but it is about ISPs in
Tokyo, so I thought some of you may know the current lay of the land and
have some advice before I start making inquiries to my ISP.
If this is too off topic, please reply off list, or if you can, please
let me know where best to take this.
Thanks.
