There's been a lot of changes recently, the re-developments finally
starting to show results.  More changes are coming (some building are
not open yet and Yamagiwa main store is being torn down).

Also I think you'd be surprised to see all the maids wandering around in
Akihabara nowadays :-)

Nice place where there is no penalty to use a credit card.

They don't have a book section, there is a Yurindo in the building.  I
have only walked through it briefly and don't recall seeing any English
books.

On their map they didn't list an English book section.

On the topic, Shosen book tower in Akihabara used to have an English
computer book section but last time I went it disappeared.  The
shopkeeper said they don't carry them in the store anymore.  Sanseido in
Jimbocho has an English book section of moderate size, though not many
computer books.  Maruzen Marunouchi Main next to JR Tokyo station has a
big English book section, though I find their computer books selection
a bit hit-or-miss (YMMV).
