That is exactly what I did :)
So far KDE 3.0 looks good and the locale issue seems to be sort of ok with
my normal user name "eric" but I upgrade the entire 8.2 distro to 9.0 and
the it left lots of items pending so now I am working hard on the other
system left outs.
