- Subject: [tlug] locale issues
Dear Tluggers
I have a small issue with my locales. It would be greatly appreciated
if you can provide any suggestions or tips. I've already done some running around
on locale but apparently is still not enough. I am still missing
something here! :( Or maybe it just doesn't sink into my fish-brain.
Distribution = Mandrake 8.2
The problems is that every time I run mozilla from the command line I am
getting.
====================
perl: warning: Setting locale failed
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
LANGUAGE
LC_ALL = "en_US:en"
LC_MESSAGES (unset)
LC_TIME = "en_US:en"
LC_NUMERIC = "en_US:en"
LC_CTYPE = "en_US:en"
LC_MONETARY = "en_US:en"
LC_COLLATE = "jp_JP"
LANG = "en_US"
are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C")
======================
I've done locale changes several times thinking I got it fix but then
it locks out my normal user account then I have to fall back to the
above settings. The locks means when trying to log in as normal user
into KDE it tries but returns to the log in screen. Any other GUI
environment will work. As you can see I am trying to use Japanese
within the English environment.
Thanks in advance
