In most cases, the websites of popular free/opensource software end with 
.org, .net and their localized equivalents (.gr.jp, .ne.jp, etc).  (Of 
course, I am talking about those software with own website.)

Regarding 2 and 3, I think printed books are better source than the web 
because of the volumes of those documents.

btw, are you writing an essay?  if so, feedback!.  :p
