Point taken. But...

TLUG is fortunate to be unique amoung the Linux mailing lists out there.
TLUG is much more raw than most people may be accustomed to participating
in, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I like everyone just the way
they are. I'd hate to see folks coersed to act out of character or 
not state their honest thoughts about a topic. I'd hate to see something
as useful and entertaining as this list become something other than
what it is today.

In the early days of TLUG there was a list more tailored toward novices,
but it did not do well since the folks in the know where on the main
list; therefore, the two lists were consolidated. Maybe we should give
it some thought to starting the tlug-advocacy/novice list again; 
especially considering the amount of new folks to the list and linux.
IMO it's worth considering.
