X does not start

Hi everybody

My computer suddenly refused to start X 

After I type "startx" the PC is freezed into a gray screen. Then type
Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to shutdown X, and the console shows me many messages
with the following format:

AUDIT: Thu Aug 30 09:41:16 2001: 6343 X: client 1 rejected from local
host
Xlib: connection to ":0:0" refused by server
Xlib: client is not authorized to connect to server

Did any file get corrupted? How can I fix it?

I'm running Vine Linux 2.0 (with Windows Maker as the windows manager)
